Baiba Ramiņa has been working in AIC since 1997. She has more than 25 years’ experience in education system and holds Specialist´s Diploma – a master´s level qualification from the University of Latvia and Master degree in environmental pedagogy from the University of Latvia. Baiba Ramiņa has a good knowledge and experience of the European and world education systems, experience in working with higher education institutions and other stakeholders, qualifications frameworks, extensive experience in the field of academic and professional recognition of qualifications, quality assurance. She is the Latvian representative in the European Commission EQF advisory group, Lisbon recognition convention committee and in the network of national qualifications framework correspondents of the Bologna process, Bologna expert in Latvia. Baiba Ramiņa has participated in and managed the preparation of the following publications and reports – Referencing Pre-Bologna qualifications, 2010; Referencing of the Latvian Education System to the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning and the Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area, 2011; Third countries education systems 2013; International qualifications in Latvia, 2015.
